For many years I was involved in various short-lived bands and recording projects, and I still do some music today. This section of the website contains selected MP3s from those efforts.
The older material from the early 1980s is crude & poorly recorded, but then we were barely out of high school at the time. These "bands" (RAW, Odessa Steps Sequence, The Adonis Brothers, Bobby Wocket & the Jackets, The Kim Harson Project, etc.) were in large part an excuse to do some underage drinking and make noise. Many of those recordings are from live performances in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
A couple of people in one of these early bands (The Adonis Brothers) later went on to notable musical careers -- Tim Finefrock (drummer for Raging Slab in 1980s, Cruz Azul in late 1990s), Mark Ibold (bass player for Dust Devils, Pavement, Free Kitten and touring bass player with Sonic Youth).
After a "hiatus" of almost a decade and relocating to Philadelphia, I started dabbling in electronic music in the early 1990s . This eventually evolved into sort of an ambient house style, some of which actually made it to vinyl & CD. A full-length album of Mild Seven International was released in 1993 by the now-defunct Silent Records label in San Francisco -- information about that here.
A couple of noise & weirdo guitar bands overlapped with the aforementioned electronic music in the early-to-mid 1990s: The Smoke Filled Men and The Balzac Achievers. The former band played at the Coney Island Freak Show in a concert organized by Shimmy Disc (also defunct), but, sadly, that label never signed us to a lucrative recording contract.
Come to think of it, I don't think anything lucrative ever came out of any of this music...
